Hiya folks, it’s me Stephanie (@StephMCK2) back with another edition of Divas and Knockouts: Talk The Talk at #THEREALWRESTLE! On a weekly basis, I will write down a variety of news and rumours relating to the WWE Divas and Knockouts Division which also includes match predictions, character analysis, Divas competing in pay-per-views and so much more!
This week: WWE
“I lost a broski to a hoeski!” On WWE Raw, WWE’s so-called “Happy Wonder Woman” Eve Torres turned to the darkside and finally became #HEEL after stating she has “used” Zack Ryder and plans to use John Cena too. However, Cena discovered her true colours on RAW and Eve has been branded “hoeski” countless times by a huge majority of the WWE Universe. WWE.com previously given us an unaired promo by Eve on Live SuperSmackDown who declared that from now on, she will not be “The Girl Next Door”, “the Damsel in Distress” and “the All-American Girl”. In fact, she’s “happy” to be… Eve Torres! It’s finally about time we had an interesting heel Diva as we heard that Eve will be getting a good push soon, which may include “Broski” Zack Ryder! Eve also commented on her Twitter, stating “@ZackRyder I miss you…” What could this mean?
WWE Officials are said to be “AGAINST” a Divas Match at WrestleMania 28! In tradition, the WWE Divas have been in the WrestleMania Match Card in which they had their WrestleMania moment, experience, wins, losses and appearances but removing them from the card is highly disgraceful. Some company officials are against utilizing the women for the sake of it since the affair would take away time from the bouts people are most interested in seeing such as The Rock vs John Cena. How sexist… These women have spent years to hone their craft and skills for their special moment at the grandest stage of them all and it will be a real shame if the WWE didn’t have a heart and went along with it. It’s has also been suggested that the Divas match at WM28 should be a pre-show dark match which could feature Kharma versus Beth Phoenix. Where has the Divas Division gone wrong and is this just a romour?
Recently, WWE has not followed up on Kharma and appearance last month at the Royal Rumble because she hasn’t fully recovered from giving birth on December 31, 2011 and isn’t ready to work a full-time schedule. She competed in the Royal Rumble Match this year, scaring Michael Cole, eliminating Hunico and give Dolph Ziggler an Implant Buster because the WWE Creative felt it would create a good story since it wasn’t expected. If she doesn’t return now, will she back after WrestleMania or even show up at the huge event?
WWE’s blonde bombshell Kelly Kelly is waiting for her WrestleMania moment, stating “I’m praying that, in years to come, I will have that tag bout or singles match or whatnot, but I’m still waiting for that moment.” Will she get that highlight she really wants at WM28 which is located in her hometown.
WWE has a plan discussed to pair Eve Torres with a heel WWE Superstar to have them feud with Zack Ryder and another WWE Diva. No word yet on who’d could get paired with Ryder but Layla is a rumored name. I think this is clearly a good idea but Layla should make sure she’s 100% safe and medically-cleared to compete in her hometown of Miami. If this happens, I see Eve Torres finding an ally in U.S Champion Jack Swagger or Kane facing against Zack Ryder and possibly Kelly Kelly or Layla.
This week: TNA
Reigning Knockout’s Champion; Gail Kim will set to face her so-called “BFF” Madison Rayne at TNA’s Victory Road after Madison sneakily won a Battle Royal last week on Impact Wrestling for a title shot. What’s interesting about this match is that Gail Kim and Madison currently hold the Tag Team Championships together so I wonder what role both of these girls play as it is a long time seeing a “Heel Vs Heel Knockouts Match” in TNA history.
Sarita was ill during last week’s TNA live event tour of West Virginia but had the heart to not miss any matches while Brooke Tessmacher is scheduled to appear at Legends of the Ring 14, which takes place at June 2, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Monroe, New Jersey.
Mickie James will replace Malia Hosaka; a 25-year Veteran who recently retired from professional wrestling. TNA’s “Hardcore Country” Mickie James will now compete against Shimmer Champion; Cheerleader Melissa (who previously worked for TNA Impact as Raisha Saeed)
TNA Impact ratings have rapidly increased and sources reveal that this happened because of the incredibly-talented TNA Knockouts who put a good effort in their Battle Royal last week which saw Madison Rayne win a Knockouts Battle Royal! Well done girls!
Former TNA Knockout Champion and TNA’s Alumni; Taylor Wilde stated on Twitter that she is getting married to her boyfriend Oliver Mitchell today. Taylor holds the record of being the youngest TNA Knockouts Champion in history at age 22 and has retired at Feb 5, 2011. Her most notable fueds were with Awesome Kong (WWE’s Kharma) and Angelina Love. Congratulations to the young dynamic star who became the third Women’s Knockout’s Champion to date!
That’s all for now, thank you for reading and be sure to come back for another explosive weekly edition of Divas and Knockouts: Talk The Talk!
